What’s YOUR Target
It’s all a question of: what’s the YOUR target?
What’s your magic number?
You see, for whatever reason many who are still trying to make it online or who are just about scraping by online are working under a serious misunderstanding…
That you have to be making PILES of cash to live the “Internet Lifestyle”.
Erm, in a word: WRONG!
Now, of course, we all have to define exactly what the internet lifestyle is for ourselves.
But generally speaking it’s along the lines of being able to generate enough money through online ventures that will allow you to be your own boss, set your own hours, cover your living costs and have some good disposable income for lifestyle costs combined with the free time to enjoy disposing of it!
Sound about right to you?

Some adventures we’ve enjoyed in our time so far making money online.
Now we’re not showing you these pictures to ‘show off’ or anything like that at all!
We’re simply trying to get you to understand that living the internet lifestyle is a lot closer than you think.
There’s a suprisingly simple and fast exercise you can do to see EXACTLY what YOUR target is.
First, grab a sheet of paper. Draw a line down the middle to create two columns. At the top of the left hand column write ‘LIVING’ and then at the top of the right column write ‘LIFESTYLE’.
You’re going to work out your expenses…but in a slightly different way than you probably ever have before.
You’re going to see it at a daily cost.
For example, let’s say your rent is about $1200 a month. Multiply that by 12 (the number of months in a year) to get your yearly cost (12 x 1200 = 14,400). Then divide that number by 365 (the number of days in a year) to give you your daily spend (14,400 / 365 = 39.46).
So that’s $39.46 a day you need to cover for rent.
Now go ahead and work out your ‘living’ costs. These are the essentials. Food, bills, a roof over your head, the items you need to function and operate on a daily basis. The example further down the page will give you ideas.
When you’ve completed living expenses then move onto lifestyle costs.
For example, maybe you go out to restaurants once a week, any magazine subscriptions you have, or memberships to a local gym or golf club green fees?
This is also where to include expenses like holidays.
E.g. if you plan on getting away for a kick-ass $5522 holiday then divide that cost by 365 to give you a daily requirement of $15.13.
Any luxury ‘lifestyle’ (non-essential) items are calculated in this column.
Go ahead grab a pen and paper and get writing. Even if you don’t get it all it’ll give you a good clear indicator of the ‘ball-park’ you’re looking to play in.
You should end up with something like this:

The Internet Lifestyle for just $111.19 a day!
Just an example but yours will look something like this.
So looking at the above example, this person will need to generate just $111.19 a day to cover living and lifestyle expenses (which let’s not forget includes a $5500+ holiday too)!
Get it?
No my friend it’s simply a case of:
Now right off the bat it’ll take a little while to get 1 income stream to reach the $200 a day mark. (By the way this is very achievable and following the right plan WILL get you there but starting out let’s break it down to a different approach.)
Like we cover in the Marketers Mindset vs Marketing Mincemeat, let’s not try and create 1 ‘home-run’ income stream of $100 a day but instead let’s make 4 streams that initially will bring you $25 each. Get it? (Of course, these will also each grow in income over time too!)
Or you could even set up an income stream to cover each one of your outgoings. How hard do you think it will be to create something that’ll pay you just $2 a day? Because if you can do that it means your cellphone bills are paid with cash to spare!
Get it?
Create. Add to. Rinse & repeat as needed.
Get it?
Good…
